August 21, 2015 Auburn, CA    Soroptimist International of the American River (SOAR), recently installed new officers and Board members for the 2015-2016 year.  The Installation, held at the home of Marshall and Kathy Dunbar, featured dinner and an installation program authored by incoming president Norma Rash.

Food Drive a Success!

October 21, 2015 Auburn, CA  Thank you, thank you to everyone who contributed to the Auburn Interfaith Food Closet Food Drive for Hunger Action Month!  The drive was hugely successful — 647 bags with 6,775 items, with an abundance of canned meat, canned fruit, peanut butter and canned vegetables received.

Kudos to the many folks from our sponsoring congregations, who formed teams that assembled bags, distributed the empty bags and then picked them up again when full.  Also, many thanks to Girl Scout Troop 1589 and Soroptimist International of the American River who formed teams to help on both Sundays...
